Description of project: Site remediation, bulk earthworks, stormwater, structural piling, shoring piling, shotcrete/soil nail batter design and construction, detailed excavation and concrete works.
Scope:
10,000m2 site clearance of trees and demolition of existing concrete structures and on grade carpark
Approximately 30,000m3 of bulk excavation and backfilling of a containment cell with site won material
Installation of over 150 bored piles including both structural and shoring wall piles
Design and construction of approximately 1,000m2 of shotcrete and soil nail batters
Approximately 7,000m2 of ground slab preparation including detail excavation, drainage layer and void former placement
Installation of stormwater including connection to the existing stormwater system
Construction of a temporary access road to service the site during construction of the main hospital
Value of Contract: $7 million
Project Period: April 2019 – February 2020
