OVERVIEW
Matthew is a Civil Engineering professional with over 18 years managing a diverse range of construction projects and teams. He has been with Cherrie Civil since its inception in 2015, delivering our first project at Northern Beaches Hospital.
During his career Matthew has worked in Project Management and Construction Management roles with the last 7 years as the Construction Director.
Matthew’s experience managing complex civil engineering projects and diverse construction teams allows him to mentor our employees and help project teams navigate complex problems.
With a focus on safe and timely delivery of projects, Matthew drives our company culture of creating high performing and inclusive project teams that deliver a quality product to exceed client expectations.
Matthew has worked on many varied projects incorporating bulk and detail excavation, shoring systems, batter stabilisation, infrastructure works, roadworks, airport works, contamination and services.
Matthew’s responsibilities include
- Overall management of project delivery (Construction)
- Monitoring and maintaining company policies, procedures and principles
- Monitoring and evaluating company safety, environmental and quality performance
- Client and stakeholder management
- Staff mentoring and development
- Review of tenders with estimating department
