Stephen Cherrie is the Managing Director of Cherrie Civil Engineering and holds a Bachelor of Engineering. He has over 20 years of experience in all levels of Civil Engineering and Business Management.
Stephen began his career learning in the field while working in roles such as Estimating Assistant, Engineer, Project Manager, Regional Manager and Director – Construction. He was appointed as a Director of the Ward Group of companies in 2010. Stephen has also been a Board member of the Civil Contractors Federation since 2017.
Stephen’s focus is on safety, delivery and relationships. He has worked in various roles on a wide range of different projects across the civil construction industry. Stephen’s gained experience from being directly involved on projects involving excavation, earthworks, airport works, road works, remediation (asbestos and contamination), seawall works, subdivisions and industrial site upgrades. To successfully deliver these projects Stephen has developed a strong foundation in project management, fiscal control, problem solving, programming and technical knowledge.
Stephen has strong core values which he incorporates into the company. His values are honesty, integrity, loyalty, delivery, hard work and relationships at all levels.
