Description of project: Cherrie Civil Engineering were engaged by Mirvac Projects to undertake a bulk excavation, foundation concrete construction and land sub-division for the construction of over 200 houses and over 250 apartments.
As a part of the apartment construction works CCE designed and constructed a shoring system, completed 100,000m3 bulk excavation and excavated and constructed 6 lift cores and over 200 pad footings and starter columns.
As a part of the housing subdivision works CCE undertook bulk cut to fill, installed new sewer, water and stormwater infrastructure and constructed new internal roads.

Scope:

Demolition of existing hardstands, carparks and tree removal
Bulk excavation of over 100,000m3 including off-site disposal
Bulk filling of over 70,000m3 for future residential homes
Construction of 250+ foundation piles
Detail excavation of 100,000m2 of house lots and pavements
Construction of over 10,000m2 of future road pavements for residential roads
Co-ordination and installation of stormwater, OSD tanks (5000+kL) and infrastructure services including potable water, sewer, electrical, private street lighting and communication lines

Value of Contract: $34 million
