Description of project: The Cumberland West Mental Health Early Works project (CWMH Early Works) forms part of the Westmead Health and Education Precinct redevelopment. CCE were engaged by Roberts Co to complete the complex task of constructing building foundations, concrete retaining walls, temporary shoring, hydraulic diversions including significant underbore works within a site heavily contaminated with friable asbestos and within a live hospital environment.
Scope:
Construction of the P14 Car Park ramp and associated access controls
Service disconnection, Demolition of the BIRS, WRPO and Casuarina Lodge buildings.
Under bore of critical services diversions including 240m private sewer and 240m trade waste, 208m Sydney Water sewer through 7 Launch pits up to 7m in depth.
Conventional installation of potable and cold-water mains, HV, LV, communications fibre cabling and lighting.
